Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG)
The goal of our IRTG graduate program is to provide doctoral candidates with a challenging and enriching program that complements individual PhD projects. The signature initiative of the program is the "IRTG Chromatin Lecture Series" which channels the CRC’s clustered expertise in chromatin research into a structured forum for instruction and discussion. A unique resource for graduate associates, the series aims to provide firsthand information on leading opinions in chromatin research as well as deep insight into a broad range of cutting-edge technologies in molecular biology.
The mixture of a structured framework for supervised training and research combined with substantial self-organization by the doctoral candidates aims to promote an atmosphere of independent and critical thinking within the IRTG.
