This event was co-organized by the Deutsches Museum and Helmholtz Munich to bring together leading experts in the field of stem cell science, ethics, and science journalism to explore the complex and often controversial issues that arise from this cutting-edge area of research.

Discussion topics included:

• The potential of stem cells to revolutionize medicine and the ethical challenges that come with it.
• Moral dilemmas surrounding the use of embryonic stem cells and alternative sources.
• Legal and regulatory frameworks governing stem cell research.
• The role of bioethics in shaping public opinion and policy.
• Issues of patient consent and the commercialization of therapies.
